This is a cosy but very stylish traditional log cabin with uninterrupted views of the Somerset countryside where you can relax on the loungers with your binoculars looking at the amazing wildlife, cosy up by the fire or get your walking boots on and get straight on the numerous walking routes to the local pub.
It was amazing, amazing place, amazing host
Our stay was the most relaxing break we have ever had and the cabin was also the most beautiful place we have ever had the privilege of staying in. The hosts were perfect and the setting was magical. We had to blink to check it was real. Everything we needed was there and more. We had planned to explore but instead stayed put because we were so content. I would recommend this to anyone at anytime of year.
Graham and Alison have thought of everything to create such a peaceful, luxurious Cabin getaway. With uninterrupted views over Somerset and a stonking welcome pack to get you settled in, complete with homemade apple juice from their orchard, you feel very well looked after! A real highlight was watching the sunset, gin in hand and spotting a deer leaping across the fields ahead.
We had such a lovely weekend. The hosts were very welcoming but also left us to ourselves. There were fairy lights in the trees when we arrived in the evening and the fire was burning. The cabin was very clean and felt luxurious. Lots of thoughtful finishing touches.
We had such a lovely stay at the cabin. It’s so cosy and comfortable and was the perfect place to snuggle in next to the log burner while the weather was terrible. Graham was extremely helpful and left the most generous welcome basket with freshly laid eggs, freshly baked bread, and apple juice and cider from the orchard. We only wish we could have stayed longer and are definitely planning to go back in the summer when I imagine it is even more beautiful.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Alison and Graham have really considered everything when it comes to staying at Five Trees. We made use of the local guide they provide, heading on a day trip to Bath and making use of the Pubs and Inns list too.
We had a much needed getaway at Five Trees to de-stress and really enjoyed our stay. It was lovely to connect with nature; from the animals in the immediate vicinity to the walks nearby. The cabin was cosy, and comfortable. The local produce was a lovely touch and the hosts had thought of everything. There’s plenty of books and games and places to explore nearby – wild swimming, pubs and walks for us! It is stocked with wine, gin, beers, toiletries, towels etc so you don’t need to take with you! We equally loved cosying up by the fire inside when it was raining to sitting by the outdoor fire watching the stars! Thank you x
Our stay at 5 Trees was incredibly peaceful, the perfect way to spend the bank holiday weekend. The lodge was beautifully finished and prepared with complimentary local produce. It was a pleasure meeting our hosts and having such a warm welcome. We wished we booked a longer stay, it was a perfect escape to the country for a back from busy London life and already miss sitting outside watching the sunset. We have already made plans to return. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to visiting again soon Best Carlotta and Bobby
Amazing! Such a beautiful place with everything you could ever want or need there. The owners are 5* and make sure everything is perfect for you.
Absolutely outstanding, one of the best stays away we have had. The hosts have thought of everything. Thank you very much.

We had a beautiful weekend at Five Trees. Graham and Alison have thought of everything to make your stay feel wholesome and authentic. The cabin is cosy but spacious for two, and very well kitted out as the kitchen has everything you need. Recommend enjoying some of the farm’s eggs, bread and butter in the morning, and watching the sunset from the porch at dusk. Thanks for a wonderful weekend
We had a wonderful stay at 5 Trees – such an idyllic retreat. An amazing welcome pack of delicious, very local treats, super well-equipped cabin, beautiful setting and lovely hosts.
We had heard lovely things about Somerset And it certainly lived up to it.
It was exactly what we’d hoped for, we wanted a complete break for rest and relaxation and the location was perfect. The Cabin exceeded our expectations , it had everything we needed and more , lots of luxurious touches to make our stay extremely comfortable.
Quite simply the perfect short break! Five Trees is a little slice of rural paradise and an idyllic setting in which to relax and recharge. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed anywhere so thoughtfully-constructed and engineered to make a holiday feel special. Graham greeted us with such warmth and it was clear he was keen that we experienced the richness of the area and made the most of our stay. He provided so many recommendations for places to stay and eat and removed the hassle of orienting ourselves. The wooden lodge is exquisitely luxurious and was replete with dressing gowns, lovely toiletries, an honesty bar, wood-burning stove and a welcome pack consisting of local delicacies. The personal touches make all the difference!
We had a really lovely stay at five trees in Somerset. The cabin was so cosy and warm and had so many lovely touches in its set up. There is everything you need including a fridge full of lovely local products. Graham and Alison were so friendly and had lots of great recommendations about local attractions and restaurants. They are great hosts who really care about your stay and want it to be as special as possible.
Amazing – great spot, building and attention to detail. Our fave so far – amazing views, good burner, flushing toilet, locally sourced food and gin bar WOW
A magical place to relax and unwind in peace. Beautiful accommodation with excellent attention to detail and wonderful warm reception from the owners. We hope to return.
Absolutely perfect! The cabin was beautiful, cosy and with all amenities needed for a break away. The bed was super comfy and really big. The location was stunning, so peaceful and tranquil. We spent most of the time sat outside on the comfy chairs with the wood burner keeping us warm and the stars to entertain us whilst listening to all the local wildlife. Graham and Alison were the perfect hosts, they couldn’t do enough for us! They gave us plenty of space during our stay but they were also there anytime for anything you needed. They contacted the local pubs to find availability for food and drinks, we asked if they had a garlic clove they could spare and they delivered us garlic and chillies. There was a bottle of champagne for us on arrival and a lovely hand written card. Such a wonderful couple, with an amazing location, and a superb set up! I would most certainly stay there again!
We had such a beautiful stay at Five Trees! Graham had thought of everything and the attention to detail in the whole experience made it a really special stay. It was incredibly peaceful and private, with an outdoorsy feel but not lacking in any luxury. We would love to return one day to what was a wonderfully romantic cabin.
Extremely lovely in a beautiful location, maintained to a high standard, secluded and peaceful. The cabin itself is very well made and has everything you need. The owners themselves are very helpful and friendly and give you all the peace quiet you want Thank you for a great stay Would be very happy to return one day
My boyfriend booked this as a surprise for me for our anniversary. I can truly say that we were each overwhelmed by our first impressions and the experience only improved over the course of our stay. Graham and Alison are wonderful hosts. Incredibly attentive to detail but understanding enough to leave guests to their own devices, enabling complete privacy. The cabin caterers for almost every need and want. From beautifully smelling and fluffy linen and robes to home baked bread oils and balsamic vinegars. The selections of coffees, tees and honesty bar Shames many top end hotels. All extras ( and there are many ) are of high end quality. We certainly felt incredibly spoilt and pampered beyond any expectation. The grounds are simply stunning with views of open countryside. To be woken by the soft barring of lambs is a truly incredible experience. The evenings had us eating the sun gently slip away whilst laid back on comfy recliners, fluffy blanket and a ready made outdoor wood burner. Graham and Alison offer a unique experience, catering for total pampering and relaxation. Every tiny detail has been considered. A must for total relaxation, tranquillity and rebalancing
Had a nice long weekend stay with my Girlfriend at this lovely log cabin made by Graham and Alison. We were greeted with local fresh milk, eggs, cider, apple juice and even a homemade loaf of bread! The cabin was very clean and felt very homely. The views from the cabin were also wonderful, waking up to the sheep and wildlife right outside your door! Graham and Alison are amazing hosts and I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!
A beautiful area of Somerset, we were greeted with fresh cheese, cider, milk, eggs, bread and butter from the local farm, and Graham made us a coffee with pastries before we walked over to the cabin. The place itself was beautiful, an incredible orchard garden, all the little touches were perfect – beach towels and a waterproof hiking bag, coffee machine, postcards and many more. Very comfy bed, although up a ladder so not one for those scared of heights! We went on many beautiful hikes, including Cheddar Gorge, Cadbury Castle, Jurassic Coast beaches and other local walks. We also visited Bruton, a lovely town a 20 minute drive away (annoyingly expensive taxi, but beautiful and worth a visit) – we had two incredible meals, one at Matt’s Kitchen (self-taught, homely relaxed style) and Osip (Michelin starred, unbelievable meal, worth the expensive price tag). We also just sunbathed and relaxed with undisrupted views of fields. Pure relaxation
From the moment we got closer to the location we were given the clearest of instructions on how to get to this beautiful remote location, and upon arrival we were greeted by beautiful scenery, chickens, the family dogs & horses – it was beautiful! The cabin itself had absolutely everything we needed, every last detail was thought about. We were given local delicious produce, mountain bikes to ride, We can’t think of one thing that was lacking for the entire experience! Graham & Alison have us such privacy, whilst always being there if we needed them. They gave us amazing recommendations for places to visit and eat and we’re not disappointed! We sincerely couldn’t say a single bad thing about this incredible cabin, surrounded by apple trees and gorgeous views. We had already agreed before we left that we’d like to make this location a regular visit as it felt so special to us
My partner and I were looking for a long-awaited holiday and came across Five Trees. The place had everything we look for in a description and more! The entrance/parking/accommodation was very easy to find, with plenty of helpful info and signs. The location is absolutely stunning, right in an aged orchard offering; plentiful seclusion, wonderful views and many nearby amenities. The building itself is very homely, welcoming and warm. We were left wanting for nothing in terms of; furniture, space, appliances, utensils, welcome essentials and cooking/fire areas. The hosts are lovely! They were very welcoming and thoughtful, providing very useful local destinations and directions. They were also very forth-coming with extra experiences around the property, like showing and explaining the method of production from the orchards’ bounty. Five trees made for an excellent relaxing week-long holiday, with plenty of walks and things to do and see nearby. It would also make for a wonderful special anniversary/birthday! Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends and family!
